TRANQUILITY LOUNGE
I find it appropriate and crucial to tailor events to meet the needs of a variety of attendee types. The "Tranquility Lounge", nicknamed the "Introverts' Lounge", is a the newest established lounge at Pluralsight's Navigate annual event. As an introvert myself, I find this lounge essential in multi-day conferences, as it allows attendees a place to relax and recharge without retreating to their rooms.
The Tranquilty Lounge is a quiet and dimly lit room, free from the screens, sounds, lights, and the networking that comes with a major event. It's designed to keep attendees in the event space but provide them a temporary relief from the hustle.
Comfortable loungers and a variety of teas/refreshments mix with free chair massages provided by certified massage therapists. This was a popular and praised addition to the event.
This lounge serves a variety of purposes to enhance the attendee experience:
REGISTRATION: Why just check-in for the event when you can check-in and get a free cocktail? With attendees arriving from a variety of countries all throughout the day, they deserve an open bar and hors d'oeuvres while they pickup their event badge and swag. After the event begins and registration is no longer needed, the reg. desk converts into an event help desk to solve any questions or problems attendees might have.
WORKING LOUNGE: With remote work so prevalent, many of our attendees need a quiet place to take a call--this lounge is designed with them in-mind. Charging stations, fast internet, and a variety of seating options allows attendees to get some work done when it fits their schedule without having to sit in a crowded hotel lobby.
